To The Palisades III

To The Palisades III  8 x 10 pastel

I guess it's obvious this is the third painting of this landscape. I am enjoying these repeat paintings, they never come out the same. Below are the other two, both done in different workshops.

All three will be available at the RiverArts Studio Tour, April 16/17 11-5 at the James Harmon Community Center, 44 Main St, Hastings on Hudson, NY.

Clearing III

Clearing III  11 x 14 pastel

I have painted this a few times and when I don't know what to paint I go back to it, sort of a "comfort zone." I also have a stack of wiped out paintings and like to try to make something out of the detris.

Hot X Bun

 Hot X Bun  6 x 6 pastel study   $45

Nothing says Easter to me quite like Hot Cross Buns, but it's hard to find good ones. Fortunately I live next door to an amazing cook/food editor and there are warm buns on our doorstep every Easter morning.

Clearing

Clearing  8 x 8 pastel

It has been a very long time since I posted. I have been working on some larger paintings that I am hoping will get juried into some shows this spring in NYC.

This painting was actually a wiped out painting, and I pulled it out of the files and decided to play around with it. I turned it upside down and saw the Palisades.
